Our Story

Mandic Shoes is an Australian owned and operated  family business started by our father Bozo (Bill) Mandic' and now with the 2nd generation.

It was Bill's dream to build a business that produced quality Australian Made Footwear. Emigrating from Croatia, he arrived here in 1958 and embraced the Aussie Culture. He loved this country and injected this passion into his work by using both Kangaroo leather and Australian Sheepskins.

Mandic Shoes was one of the first companies to produce UGG boots for the  mainstream market back in the 1960's when it all started with the surfing culture.

The business grew and expanded with our brands FRISKY, that was hugely successful selling pony club riding boots to thousands of Aussie kids and Western and line dancing boots for both men and women.  

SCRUB UGG is our Australia Made sheepskin UGG boot range which is still 100% made in Sydney using Australia sheepskins.

MACARTHUR is our premium boot range. Using the best craftsmanship to offer the highest quality in stylish boots for men and women. Macarthur is a nod to our location - the factory moved to the Macarthur region in 1970's with Bill again being a trailblazer and building one of the first factories in this now thriving  region.

The latest addition to the MACARTHUR range is our kangaroo leather boots  which add Australian quality.
